The Tre
Golfi Sailing Week is an annual sailing regatta held in the Gulf of Naples,
Italy. Organized by the prestigious Yacht Club Italiano, the event features a
series of races that navigate the waters around Capri, Ischia, and Procida. The
diverse fleet, consisting of various boat classes, attracts both local and
international participants, ranging from seasoned sailors to amateur
enthusiasts.
Participants
in the regatta experience a challenging racecourse, encountering varying
sailing conditions from calm waters to more demanding wind and sea conditions.
The regatta not only tests the skill and strategy of the sailors but also
showcases the breathtaking coastal scenery of the Bay of Naples and the
Tyrrhenian Sea.
In addition
to the competitive races, the Tre Golfi Sailing Week often incorporates social
and cultural events, fostering a sense of community among participants and
spectators. Social gatherings, award ceremonies, and celebrations contribute to
the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the regatta.
Spectators
can enjoy the excitement of the races from the shores of the Gulf of Naples or
from strategic vantage points on the picturesque islands of Capri, Ischia, or
Procida. The regatta provides a unique opportunity for both sailing enthusiasts
and those appreciating the beauty of coastal landscapes to come together and
celebrate the maritime heritage of the region.
The
departure of the 69th edition of the Tre Golfi will be from Naples on Friday 17
May. The route of approximately 150 miles includes a tour of the island of
